Give us your thoughts on the future of Barnsley!
A lot can change in a place within a relatively short amount of time and because of this we need to start thinking about how the Barnsley borough might be different in 2030.
Barnsley 2030 offers us all a fantastic opportunity to work together to tell the story of Barnsley and the borough we all want it to be.
This piece of work isn’t just for the council, or any other single organisation or business, it is for all of us. Your response to this survey will help us to understand the challenges you feel you are facing, your ambitions for the future and from this we can understand what our priorities for the next 10 years should be.
We are looking to the year 2030 because we think this will give us enough time to make some real changes here. We therefore want to encourage you, when responding to the questions, not to limit your thinking and to be bold in your responses, particularly when thinking about what the borough could be like in the future.
Using your response to these questions, we will work with an independent company, thinkingplace, to identify the key themes and to start to create Barnsley’s story. We will then use this story to work together to turn our ambitions into a reality.
Barnsley 2030 doesn’t just focus on the town centre, but what each and every one of us does across the borough, that makes Barnsley the place that it is.
Your input is really important to us and we would appreciate it if you could spend a few minutes answering the following questions. As a ‘thank you’ you can also choose to be entered into our free prize draw for a chance to receive a £10 voucher to spend at Barnsley Markets. We have ten to give away.
The deadline for responses is 11.59pm on Sunday 8 March 2020.
If you would like some help to complete this survey, or if you would like an Easy Read version, please contact Teresa Gibson or Rachel Neale at Barnsley CVS on 01226 812813. If you are deaf or hard of hearing, text 07476 340270.
We will update you on the progress of the project, how your feedback has been used and how you can get further involved on our web page
